Winter Break 2020

Ah Winter Break. Getting my car fixed hopefully. Enjoying coffee, video games, the cats, and of course the family. We are supposed to get a snow storm today so maybe I can use the new snowblower? And Go Pack Go!!!!!

A Green Xmas?

I can still see grass. Looking forward to winter break and the Covid vaccine. We need life back to normal. Hopefully the girls have a great Christmas. I am looking forward to using my new snowblower.

Big Win for Biden

We have a new President-elect! So happy Joe Biden won! It was so warm on Election Day I was able to wear shorts. Unbelievable. Winter is on the way of course. Go Pack Go!!!!

Snowblower!

I just bought a new snowblower!!! Molly helped me walk it home. It is so much bigger than my old one which I sold for $90. That one sucked. Looking forward to the election next week. Hopefully Biden wins. Go Joe!!!!

Miracles do happen

The new fridge was delivered on Monday. Is it weird that I am just as excited about having our old fridge in the garage for keeping drinks cold? Covid is bad in Wisconsin right now. How hard is it to make good choices like wearing a mask and washing your hands? I really hope Biden wins. The soul of our country can't take another four years like this. Go Packers. 4-0.

Online conferences and a fridge

Just held online parent-teacher conferences. That was interesting but okay. Our fridge is supposed to finally on Monday. I'll believe it when I see it. The Packers are 4-0. Back to more school work and writing. I'm dreaming of a green Christmas.

Warm but signs of fall

Leaves are starting to fall. The Packers are 2-0. Teaching online continues. I miss face to face. Keeping my fingers crossed for a vaccine. Let's hope it is an easy winter.

Go Pack Go!!!!

The Packers start today!!!! With what has been happening the last six months this is a most welcome event! Curious as to how football with no fans will be. Hopefully the Packers and my fantasy teams can win!!!!!!

Online school

So online school it is for first quarter at least. I'm sure it will be more. Big election coming up soon. Fingers crossed for Joe Biden. Still waiting for our new fridge to come. Go Packers!!!!!

Friday morning at Beans

Having coffee/breakfast at Beans n Cream the day after Joe Biden's speech last night. I'm taking in what is left of my summer as I'm back to work on Monday. I look across the table at Molly and my little girl is growing up. I wish she would slow down lol. Cheers to summer 2020. Let's get a vaccine and get back to real life! I am also looking forward to watching Maddy in high school. And maybe one of these days I'll solve the Last of Us 2.

August 2020

Summer continues. I took a week off to relax from VIPKID after finishing summer school. Back to real school on August 24th. Not sure how that is going to look. We are still waiting for our new fridge which is on backorder. Grrrr. Molly continues to work and I am so proud of her. Not looking forward to winter which is just a few months away.

July continues

July continues. Covid is getting worse. We got a robot vacuum today. I'm kind of excited about that. The Packers are supposed to open camp tomorrow. I hope they can. Watching Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with Molly. Maddie graduates from St. Ann's on Wednesday.

Happy July

It is the middle of July. We are anxiously waiting for the arrival of our new refrigerator and stove. I have one week of summer school left. The big question on everyone's mind is what are we going to do for school in the fall? I want nothing more than to be back. Let's just hope they find a way to do it safely for everyone. I really miss being in the classroom. Stay healthy everyone. I hope the vaccine comes soon!

4th of July and Covid

The 4th of July (my favorite holiday) was really limited by Covid-19. Let's hope for a vaccine and a return to the way things used to be soon. Maddie and I have been playing tennis. I love her enthusiasm. Mowing the lawn definitely is a chore in the summer but it has to be done. The real question is how will school be in the fall?

Rainy summer day

What a rainy summer day. I was able to get the lawn mowed before the storm hit. I'm busy teaching summer school online. Molly continues to work. Maddie is nervous about going to high school. Jen is enjoying her time off. We paid a lot of money last week to get the forrest that was our garden removed. Our backyard looks so much better. I'm also still teaching online in China. Oh summer never leave lol.

Summer vacation 2020

First day of summer break. Hopefully summer 2020 is better than winter and spring for obvious reasons. Operation clean the house is underway. So much clutter to get rid of. Hopefully back to work in the fall for real. I want to teach in a classroom, not online. Hopefully sports come back soon. I will continue to teach online in China over the summer. I hope this summer last forever like they did when I was a kid. Summer took forever to end.

June and summer

I am quickly approaching the end to the most interesting year of my teaching career. I truly hope we are back in the fall and they find a vaccine soon so that life can go back to normal? Then again what is normal? I still miss baseball and I hope we get football. I can't wait for the Presidential election in November. No secret who I'm voting for lol. Stay hydrated everyone.

Haircut

OMG how good it felt to get a haircut. I was definitely looking like Shaggy from Scooby Doo. School is done after next week. In a strange way I really need a good summer.

Summer!!!!!!

I think Summer is finally here. I believe we are getting a new refrigerator sometime soon. I'm looking forward to that. They really left us with crap appliances when we bought our second house. Molly continues working at her job and appears to really like it. Hopefully we can get her on track with turning in work on time. Enjoy the heat!!!!!

Just checking in...

Just checking in. Social distancing continues. It is amazing the little things you miss. I have definitely caught up on sleep. For some bizarre reason my blood sugars are really good. Stay healthy and smart everyone!

Summer please

Almost two months of staying home. I just want summer now.

Bondathon to stay sane

It's getting towards the end of April. I've been watching James Bond movies to stay sane. Today is Live and Let Die. The girls are getting bored as well. Consistent warm weather would help big time. I want to leave my windows open 24/7. The cats are doing well lol.

RIP Honor B

Rest In Peace Honor Blackman. You were brilliant in Goldfinger but you will always be Cathy Gale to me. House arrest continues. Looking forward to this being all over. June? July? August? Who knows?

House arrest continues

My house arrest continues. I went to Wall-Mart this morning. I used lots of hand sanitizer and washed my hands quite thoroughly. When will things get back to normal? I even miss driving to work. Today was supposed to be opening day for baseball. Stay healthy everyone.
Social distancing continues. I've watched a lot of shows. Played a lot of video games. Still teaching online to kids in China which helps. I'm on spring break this week so no online teaching for my normal teaching job. We were supposed to be in Washington D.C. this week. Let's hope everyone gets healthy and things get back to normal soon.
Day one of staying home because of the coronavirus. I've been watching tv and movies, reading, and futzing around on my computer. I may finally catch up on sleep which hasn't happened before my children were born lol. And time to do some serious writing. This is so bizarre. Let's hope this is over soon but I don't think it will be. I miss sports.
Okay it is so weird not having any sports. I keep going to espn.com and no new scores. I can I can get a head start on spring cleaning. I just watched the first two episodes of Band of Brothers and it is excellent. Let's pray this whole virus thing is over soon.
Just found out schools will be closed starting in a few days. I get to teach online. This should be interesting. Let's hope they figure this out quickly.
Oh my God this coronavirus stuff is crazy. No March Madness...all sports shutting down. Baseball is delayed. Scary.
Just went running. I'm out of shape from not running during the winter. My legs are killing me. Don't get old people. Never.
Getting ready to go to DC soon. I love all the historical stuff. I can't wait for Maddy to see it.
Bought a MacBook Air. It seems nice but I don't really know how to use it. This should be fun.
Grandma Magnum passed away yesterday. I will miss her forever. She was a very special lady. Until we meet again. 😢

Winter Blahs

Getting excited for family trip to DC next month. Winter can end anytime now. Filed taxes today. What a pain.
Watching the last episode of the first season of Blood and Treasure. Fun show and wow is it snowing out.  Bring on Spring!!!!!
Tough loss for the Packers to the 49ers. But overall a much better season than was anticipated. Looking forward to Spring now. Then summer. Jen is taking another trip to England but I am staying back this time. No more snow please.

Give peace a chance

No war with Iran.  ðŸ˜¢
I'm currently in the midst of a 16 day winter break. It's been a fun break. Saw Star Wars episode 9 with Molly and we enjoyed it. Jen's Mom had surgery and so far she is doing well. I went running the Sunday after Christmas because it was in the mid 50's and no snow. I'm watching the Badgers play Oregon in the Rose Bowl. Go Bucky!!!! Not looking forward to going back to work. My main New Years Resolution is to finish my second novel. Happy Holidays everyone!!!!!
